Description: Introducing a comprehensive editorial service for those interested in writing novels and short stories or perhaps would just like a helping hand to get started with poetry.Services include copy editing, some ghostwriting and proofreading manuscripts to standards required by publishers and literary agents. Even if you are self-publishing your book, it will need to be edited. All genres including fantasy and children’s fiction. Research also undertaken.
Proofreading service includes correcting grammar, spelling and punctuation; checking for repetition, ambiguity, tautology, continuity, POV (point of view) etc.
Editing/ghostwriting/re-writing services are inclusive of proofreading. Work undertaken onscreen or hard copy.
Copy typing and word processing also available, exclusive of editing but proofread upon completion.
Confidentiality is guaranteed; all work is treated with care and respect and copyright remains with the author upon completion and full payment for the work.
My fees are modest and available on request. All work is individual, presenting its own challenges but as a general rule, when I have seen a representative sample of work, I am able to offer a firm quotation.

Description: Julia Hawkes-Moore was born near the ruins of Walsingham Abbey in Norfolk, and grew up in Bromyard, Herefordshire. Both places inspired in her a deep fascination with folk history and myth. After training as an Architect in Liverpool, she went on to run a London restaurant, and to teach metalwork and woodwork in Suffolk, before marrying, writing novels and running seven years of folk festivals in Saffron Walden.
Then her cosy world unexpectedly fell apart, and she moved back to her parents in Bromyard with her young sons Gabriel and Barnaby.  She is now putting her life back together in a most satisfactory way…
‘Dancing in Circles’ was Julia’s first novel. Other works include ‘The Chocolate Ghost And Other Tales, enriched with Selected Poems’, ISBN 978 90 819271 4 7, only available from the publishing on demand printers www.lulu.com/spotlight/JuliaHM
‘The Chocolate Ghost’ has also been published in an anthology by the Oxford University Press, and translated into Czech. More novels are in process…
