Description:
Always loving music, Jim has played since an early age, enduring piano lessons until he could borrow a guitar off a friend, but soon moving onto double bass when his school offered free lessons, as nobody was playing the instrument.. It turned out to be a good move, as bass players are rare and therefore always in demand! Jim plays electric and double bass in various local bands including Hotfeat, a soul dance band, and Cutting Loose, an original music band with other local musicians, often also seen supporting local theatrical productions musically. Often available at short notice, can read music and provide quality p.a. gear for most events.

Description:
Tony is a highly versatile singer and musician who began singing and playing in his mid teens in the folk clubs of 1960’s Birmingham. He plays a variety of instruments including guitar, mandola, mandoline, banjo, dulcimer and harmonica. He often describes his repertoire as ranging from “sea shanties to Jerry Lee Lewis” and he takes in most styles in between. He writes his own songs too which are distinctive and thought provoking. He has played as a solo performer for many years but also has been involved with bands such as Trilogy and Witches’ Brew but most particularly as a member of Dempsey’s Lot, a Midlands based Irish band led by the near legendary Tommy Dempsey. At present he is playing with a number of local musicians and is recording a new album with these using his own songs.Tony is the organiser (if that’s the right word) of Bromyard Sessions, a loose group of local musicians who play for free every Tuesday evening in the Falcon Hotel in Bromyard.

Description:
When The Misers released their debut album, Amplified Life Stories, in 2009, its analogue tape hiss & gritty valve sound gained the band a whole host of fans from the moment it landed, not least Radio 2’s Janice Long who heaped praise on the record calling it “a return to the golden age of song writing” while Maverick Magazine hailed it a “Dead Cert!” Song plays, interviews & live sessions on Radio 2 followed, along with healthy support from BBC local radio stations and playlisting on College Radio stations across America. UK tours & festival dates were met with a frenzied response and appearances on ITV & SkyArts1 announced The Misers had arrived in fine style.Fast forward 3 years and you may be forgiven for thinking that you are witnessing a new band. Certainly 2012 finds The Misers in a period of Renewed Fire, Renewed Focus & ultimately, a Renewed Passion. The stunning new album, A Weight Off The Mind (Is Still A Load On The Shoulders), is released November 5th 2012.
